Co-operative Server:
Be Helpful to beginners/other players if they need it
Casual Server
While we are happy for factions to grow and become powerful, most people are not daily players of the game. They are playing to relax. Please don’t assume that people will be on at all times or will respond instantly.
Pistons and Rotors
Please minimise the amount of Pistons and Rotors that you use, they have a negative impact on Server performance.
Naming of Ships
Its a good practice to Name all your ships / Stations something relatively unique. The exact naming scheme is entirely up to the person building the ship, but please keep it inoffensive.
Things to note, Antennas will put your faction code in front of the name (example PLF.Sword of Guin)
PvP on the Server
While we are not opposed to PvP there will be people who are not willing / interested to be involved in it.
Rules for PvP:
Both Factions involved must agree that PVP is something they are interested in, war should be formally declared in #SpaceEngineers with a time/date for commencement of hostilities. (and a war objective if you really wanna RP it.)
War Objectives
This can be for the control of a station / Ship / A fee to be paid by the loser, try to talk to the other faction to see what both sides are willing to risk
Safe Havens:
This is ideally to stop a faction’s progress being completely destroyed by PVP, each faction can designate a “Safe Haven” with GPS Co-ords that is off limits to being attacked. Normally this would be an asteroid base that has enough materiel to get the faction back up and running.
This is mainly to avoid the issue some people have where post PVP they have no way to rebuild, if a faction chooses to they can not designate a safe zone. In theory you can create a safe zone with Zone chips, but they are expensive for smaller factions.
