What is GoldenEye: Source?
GoldenEye: Source is a total conversion mod developed using Valve’s Source engine. GoldenEye: Source is a multiplayer remake of the 1997 Nintendo 64 video game GoldenEye 007, itself based on the James Bond film GoldenEye. The mod’s development began in 2005, and remains in active development as of 2019.
Are there any rules I need to be aware of?
Yes, you can find our latest Community Rules in our Community Discord or our Community Rules Page. This is a Co-Operative Community Server and you need to be 16 or over to join. There are several streamers that use our community server so you need to ensure you are keeping to Twitch and Discord ToS as well as keep your language to a PG13 level. Griefing is not allowed and when online the “Command” role should be obeyed, if in doubt ask the server admins (Imaflanker and MerasMacLeod). You must also be in our Community Discord to play in any of our community servers, this is so we have a way of contacting you and to provide updates on when we’re playing.
Do I need a password to join?
Yes, the server password can be found in the Community Servers channel in our Discord. The password does change from time to time and is kept up to date in Discord.
How many people can play on the server at a time?
The server is currently set to allow up to twelve concurrent players to join.
How do I connect to the server?
To Download the client you need to go to https://geshl2.com/client-downloads/ here you can download via ModDB / GameStand or via Torrent, Torrents are slightly faster.
Once Downloaded run the ges.exe, it will install the mod. When you first run Goldeneye: Source it will install Source SDK Base 2007 via Steam.
When you open the game up and press join Server please remember to toggle Show Map list in the bottom left, This will show all servers.
Then when you locate the Server please right click it and add to favorites
